Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:
  • The successful candidate will serve as the foundation of the “center of excellence” for Nautilus’ in house analytical needs.
  • Provide analytical support as required by colleagues within the Nautilus organization.
  • Develop new analytical methods as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:

BS or MS in analytical chemistry with 4+ years of relevant industrial experience or PhD with 2+ years experience (other disciplines will be considered if the candidate has the appropriate background and experience).

Preferred Skills:
  • Demonstrated expertise in analytical and preparative HPLC of small molecules is required.
  • Experience with chromatographic separation of large biological molecules including DNA and Proteins.
  • HPLC method development experience including method verification and validation. We need a scientist who can develop new HPLC methods, not just run existing ones.
  • Experience with other analytical techniques including gel electrophoresis, UV/vis and fluorescent spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry is highly desirable.
  • Experience in protein and/or DNA structure analysis is a plus.
